Appraisal Industry Update

2012-2013 National USPAP Courses:

The 2012-2013 edition of USPAP becomes effective on January 1, 2012, and will remain in effect until December 31, 2013, and the 2012-2013 National USPAP Courses coincide with that time period.

The 2012-2013 National USPAP Courses will be available to the public on October 1, 2011, though it is not required that they be taken at that time. Beginning January 1, 2012, it is required that all state licensed and certified appraisers take the 2012-2013 National USPAP Courses, as opposed to the 2010-2011 National USPAP Courses.

As stated previously, AQB Certified USPAP Instructors must complete the recertification process, including the online Instructor Recertification Course (IRC), before they are authorized to teach the 2012-2013 National USPAP Courses.

COMING SOON - The Ohio Real Estate Appraisal Board and The Ohio Division of Real Estate are working on new requirements in regards to pre-certification courses.  The Ohio Administrative Rules are currently in the draft form which will hopefully be approved in the next few months.  Students will have the option to take pre-certification courses through distance learning on-line.
