Bruce Baker, CLU, ChFC

In 1973, Bruce began his career in the Life Insurance industry in Canton, Ohio as an agent. In 1976, he became a sales manager and in 1985 he became the sales trainer in Canton and retired in 1995 as the Training Manager of the Cincinnati office for his company. Bruce received his CLU designation in 1978 and the ChFC in 1981.
In his career, he has been licensed to sell Life and Health, Property and Casualty and to sell investments. Bruce served as the President of the Canton Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the President of the Canton chapter of the Society of Financial Professionals in the mid-1990's. He has spoken at numerous industry and company functions.
Bruce has been an instructor at Hondros College since 1995, and has taught 20 different courses to thousands of Hondros students. He was the recipient of 1996 and 1998 Instructor of the Year award.

W. Michael Buchanan

With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Michael has served as Executive VP of large agency and producer of own client portfolio in excess of $5 million annual premium, Regional Manager of Large Account Department and experienced Personal & Commercial Lines Underwriter, Vice President and Regional Manager of agency relationships, appointments, production, licensing compliance and education and National Director of specialty insurance, safety, contractual transfer educational and research program.
Michael has been an instructor at Hondros College for four years and holds a CPCU Designation - P&C Insurance, AU Designation - P&C Insurance, CGA Designation - Homebuilding Industry Practices and Management, Certified Speaker (former) - Ohio Insurance Institute, Licensed agent - Property/Casualty, Life/Health in several states, Certified instructor by National Association of Home Builders, Certified instructor by Ohio Department of Insurance, CLU Designation (partially completed) - Life & Health Insurance, and CRM Designation (partially completed) - Certified Risk Manager Program.

Vince DiBartolo

Vince has been an Insurance Agent since 1980 and a Hondros College Adjunct instructor of Insurance pre-licensing and continuing education since November of 1999.
He has authored On-line Property & Casualty CE Courses for Ohio and Texas, as well as Ohio classroom CE courses. He has also been project editor of Property and Casualty and Personal Lines pre-licensing textbooks, Crammer™ Course content and Compucram® products for both P&C and Personal Lines.

Kent Holley, CLU, ChFC

Kent began his insurance career in 1960 as a Personal Lines Automobile Underwriter with an Ohio domestic insurance company and quickly advanced to an underwriting position of Commercial Lines Automobile & General Liability Underwriter.
In 1967, Kent became an underwriting supervisor in Personal Lines Property & Casualty insurance and on to a Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Underwriting Supervisor. His duties and responsibilities also involved being the company's Educational Director.
From 1976 to 1987, Kent was associated with a regional broker and then to a national broker specializing in the area a Commercial Lines Marketing Manager; advancing to the position of Assistant Vice-President - Commercial Lines Marketing. Along with the duties of marketing commercial accounts, he was the educational director in instruction and training of new and revised insurance forms and programs. During this period, he received extensive training and experience in the London Market while a resident of London and being mentored by brokers and underwriters of Lloyd's of London.
In 1987 Kent associated with a national insurance company, specializing in Marine and Inland Marine Underwriting and retiring in 2001, as the assistant branch manager of a regional underwriting office.
Kent is a graduate of Denison University and has held a Property & Casualty Insurance License since 1960. He also holds the professional designations of CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), and AU (Associate in Underwriting).
He has been a Hondros College Faculty Member since 2002, instructing courses in P & C Pre-Licensing and Continuing Education.

Paul has seventeen years of Industry experience, including positions in Field Sales, Management and Training & Development positions for Life, Health, Investment Products, and Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company.
Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, The Ohio State University in 1983 and has been an instructor at Hondros College since 2004, teaching Ohio Life & Health Pre-Licensing Course and Crammer Course. Paul holds designations as Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) & Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Paul Workmaster

Paul has a B.S. in Business Administration from the Ohio State University, and is currently enrolled with the American College and pursuing the CLU designation. He has held an Ohio Life & Health Insurance license since 1974. Currently, Paul is working as a financial specialist for two property & casualty agencies, in the Pickerington area and is a Fellow of the Life Underwriter Training Council and holds an NASD Series 6 license.
He has taught thousands of Hondros students what was needed to successfully pass the Ohio Life & Health Insurance license exam, and he instructs insurance continuing education courses each year as well. Paul is the recipient of 2003 Instructor of the Year award for the Columbus site.

Edward White CLU, ChFC, LUTCF

Ed has been one of our faculty members for several years. He has had a long and distinguished career serving as an Agent, General Agent, Manager, Compliance Coordinator, Director of Operations, and Regional Manager for various financial service companies. He worked as the Director of Development for Huntington College. As an agent Ed was a “Million Dollar Round Table” member for seven years. He attended the University of Dayton, as well as having studied at The American College (Bryn Mawr PA); Sinclair Community College; Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN Campus); and Huntington College (Huntington, Indiana) . Ed holds the following professional designations: CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant – The American College), and LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow). He earned a certificate from the Life Insurance Marketing Institute at Purdue University. He is licensed by the State of Ohio: Life, Accident & Health, Variable Annuities, Property & Casualty . Ed is a licensed registered representative of Series 7, 26, 63 licensed, National Association Securities Dealers. Ed received the New Instructor of the Year award in 2004.

Michael R. Webb, CLU, RHU, CSA

Michael has been in the business for 27 years. Michael started as an agent and company brought one agent to the home office each year for a development program. Michael spent one and a half years traveling thirty states as the company's assistant training director and Disability Insurance competitive expert. The next year he was a group sales representative and tripled the company's previous sales record for group sales. Michael spent most of the next year recruiting general agents for the company and then took one of their top agencies as general agent. After Michael left his original company he took a position as vice president with another company and served in that position for four years. He decided to leave the home office and become an independent agent in 1991 and have been independent since then. He is currently appointed to represent about 40-45 different companies. Michael has been a Hondros College faculty member since 1986 and was named Instructor of the Year in 2002.

Michael Shannon Haddaway

Shannon began his teaching career immediately after graduating from college. From 1972 to 1976, he was a high school social studies teacher in Newark, Delaware, where he was raised. He was then an owner of two small businesses in Columbus, Ohio, prior to returning to teaching at The Ohio State University and the University of Miami. From 1995 to 1996, he was an Instructor/Researcher with Project UNITE at the College of Education Graduate School, The Ohio State University. From 1996 to 1997, he was an Assistant Visiting Professor at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He has also taught at the University of Dayton and has been a Hondros College faculty member since 2002.
Shannon has been involved full-time in the securities and insurance profession for nine years. In 1997, he began his financial services career as a Special Agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. In 1999, he was worked at Northwestern Mutual Investment Services. Later in 1999, he went independent and started the Haddaway Financial Services Group where he is a practicing financial advisor specializing in investment and retirement management. He is presently the owner/president of Haddaway Financial Services Group and LTC Insurance Alliance, LLP in Sunbury, Ohio.

Roy E. Overmier, RHU, LUTCF

Roy entered the insurance business with a multiple line company in Sandusky, Ohio in 1955. After 28 months of outstanding personal production, Roy accepted a position in sales management in the state of Indiana. He had 22 counties as his district and achieved "Manager of the Year" while in Indiana. Roy was also instrumental in organizing the first training program for the state for his company. In 1961, Roy accepted a new assignment in Chillicothe, Ohio as sales manager in Ross and Pike Counties. He was recognized for several awards. In 1968, he accepted a new management position in Canton, Ohio as an Association Group Insurance manager. For 10 years, his territory was in 23 counties in Northeast Ohio. In 1978, Roy was sales managers of the Portage County area. Roy achieved the President's Club Award while working for this company. In 1981, he took over the multi-county District of Wayne, Holmes, Ashland and Medina counties. He achieved the President's Club Award and Manager of the Year in 1982 and 1983. In 1987, Roy transferred to the Canton Ohio District and retired in 1989. In 1991, Roy began his teaching career and has been a Hondros College faculty member since 2001.
